The Mission

When the last bell rings, Texas ACE is just getting started with no-cost after-school activities for any student attending a participating K–12 school. Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) is a national program funded through 21st Century Community Learning Centers. The state-level Texas ACE program is administered and monitored by Texas Education Agency (TEA), which also offers robust training, technical assistance, and other resources for grantees. Texas ACE aims to improve academic performance/grades, school attendance, positive behavior, and student engagement by providing students with a safe place to go during non-school hours for extended learning and enrichment activities.

What We Offer and Events

At the core of the ACE Program is a strong commitment to purpose, guided by a clear mission, an inspiring vision for the future, and foundational values that define who we are and drive everything we do.

Texas ACE provides thousands of students across the state with:

  • Interactive, hands-on learning disguised as fun and aligned with classroom goals.

  • Sports, clubs, and enrichment activities to encourage creativity, teamwork, and exploration.

  • Homework help and academic support, including tutoring, study strategies, and time management skills to ensure every student thrives academically.

  • Youth development programs and project-based activities that foster character, confidence, and leadership skills.

In addition to its robust after-school programming, ACE hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the year to engage students, families, and the community:

  • Food Drive: An opportunity for students to give back to the community by collecting and donating non-perishable food items to local families in need.

  • Donuts with Dad: A special event for students and their dads (or father figures) to enjoy breakfast and quality time together.

  • Muffins with Mom: A heartwarming morning for students to share muffins and meaningful moments with their moms (or maternal figures).

  • Clothing Drive: A year-round event providing clothing to those in need within our community.

  • Grandparents Day: A celebration honoring grandparents with fun activities and shared experiences.

  • Veterans Day Program: A tribute to honor veterans, teaching students the importance of gratitude and respect for those who have served.
